A big thank you to Mr. York for subbing for me while I took care of my daughter Anna after her
tonsillectomy.
An even bigger thank you to the children! Mr. York gave them a glowing report. I am so thankful to
have such a wonderful group of children to teach!
In Math the students worked on division. They took a test on Friday and then enjoyed problem
solving Friday by working in their problem solving folders, competing in problem solving games,
and/or solving squzzles. We will begin Chapter 9 on Monday. Please encourage your children to
continue to work on their multiplication tables.
In Reading, the students read a story called called Mystic Horse. They took a test over this Friday.
On Monday we will begin a hilarious story called The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. This is one of my
all-time favorite children's books.
In Social Studies the students continued learning about the 13 colonies.
In Science the students learned about the water cycle.
In Language the students worked on irregular verbs. Next week we will begin writing a humorous
story based on the book, Never Mail An Elephant.
Thanks to all who have sent in classroom snacks!
We need the following items in our classroom: Clorox Wipes, Paper towels, group snacks, hand
sanitizers, paper, and pencils.
Thanks for sending your children to school prepared to learn and have fun!!!!
Other news:
Please make sure your child is reading and recording his/her reading in the home reading log. We
