Homework in art can be a very satisfying experience. Many students find
that it helps their mood to do artwork. I do not expect that every student
will take the same amount of time to finish an art lesson due to the personal
nature of the creative process. You may take your art journal home to complete
the assignment. Be sure to have it with you at every class. Class lockers
will be assigned
if you choose to leave your art journal in class.

Writing and drawing in the art journal can help students change their mental
ideas into pictures.
Some students enjoy cutting out pictures of things or lettering styles they
want to copy and pasting
them in their "idea book". Organizing ideas and setting artwork goals can be
done in the art journal.
We will study about Leonardo DaVinci's journals and observe artists in the
creative process.
