This is my 7th year as a 6th grade teacher at CHUE. I am highly qualified and
certified to teach grades K-8 (7th & 8th grade Reading and L.A.) I graduated
Cum Laude from MTSU, and I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master's of
Education from Cumberland University. I have also earned an Administrator's
Endorsement on my teaching license. I have been married for over 14 years,
and we have three beautiful daughters. I absolutely love what I do and can't
imagine doing anything else!
Learning is living and living is learning which equals LIFELONG LEARNERS. It
is a continuous ongoing process - not limited to the classroom. I must help
bridge from the classroom to the world. My mission is to integrate
curriculum in such a way that the students become personally engaged with
the material and perceive the subject matter to be directly relevant to
their own lives. I commit to awakening students to learn; empowering them to
take responsibility for their learning, inspiring courage to grow
intellectually, cultivating curiosity, providing opportunities for
developing relationships, clarifying values and integrity, uplifting the
spirit, and inciting the students to action!
