Director's DeskHello, My name is Connie Gray; I currently hold the position of School Age Child Care Program Director. I have been employed by the Lebanon Special School District for seventeen years and have held my current position for nine years. Here is a little information about my family. I have been married to my true love for twenty four years and will celebrate our twenty fifth in April (Ladies I think the list FINALLY says diamond) (Men there are times the Dave Ramsey way just doesn't get it) We have one son, his name is Nolan and all the children in the program love for me to tell stories about the numerous adventures he always plays a part in. He is to me, as yours are to you, the light of my life.
Last year our family faced empty nest syndrome, due to Nolan went away to college in Georgia. That was a huge adjustment for us but we made it and I actually found I liked that the house stayed clean. Now this year after all that adjustment Nolan has decided he wants to be closer to home and is looking at playing baseball at Cumberland this year, so now I must again get use to dirty clothes stacked in piles, lights left on all over the house, tooth paste puddles in the sink and last but not least a refrigderator that never has enoungh food or drinks. lol.
Well enough about my family, let me explain my goals for your family in the after school program. Our "Mission Statement" clearly expresses that I firmly believe that the safety of all children enrolled should be our number one priority. I also believe that when a child feels loved and respected the quality of life is simply better. I do believe in having an open door policy for parents to call and communicate questions or concerns. Working together allows us all to grow as a team.
I am very proud of all the 38 staff members who are employed by the SACC/Wee Care programs and can say that we work as a team daily. We all share a common goal, which is the safety and well being of your children in our care. I look forward to serving each child and parent in our program and thank you for entrusting them into our care.
Sincerely, Connie Gray
