Leap ScheduleParents of SACC Students, We hope you and your children enjoyed the "Boots & Brains" camp. SACC would like to thank the parents who participated in the camp, many of the group points came from the parents. In the "Boots & Brains" camp everyone walked away with a little more knowledge then before. Our community partners "Knowledge of the Game" did a wonderful job challenging the students in speed drills, obstacle courses, agility and balance skills., SACC couldn't do it without them. Now time to give you some information on our third camp that will last from December through January. One of my favorites, "American Bandstand". In this camp the children will study the following decades of music (60's, 70"s, 80"s, 90"s and 2000) Our goals and objectives are to introduce the history of each year. They will research the cost of gas/bread etc versus now. They will be introduced to different types of music, such as: classical, country, hip-hop, famous hits etc. The students will give a brief history report on each decade on our first Project LUCAS family night on January 25, 2009 What you can expect from this family night; Hot meal for your immediate family members, Dancing, lip singing from SACC Staff and Kid Council Members, history reports and a whole lot of laughs. So mark your calendars, you don't want to miss this one.... Be on the lookout for the following forms: Fieldtrip Permission Slips for grades 2nd - 8th to attend the Nashville Symphony. This will take place on January 21st during school hours and will give the children an experience that they will never forget. Chaperones are needed and welcome.
