Leap ScheduleParents of SACC Students, The second camp that Project LUCAS will be offering the students is titled "Boots & Brains". Our goals with this camp are to offer physical obstacle courses that challenges the younger students to be more active and physically healthy young adults, this is what we call the "Boots" portion of this camp. Knowledge of the Game will be the physical instructors for this camp. The "Brain" portion will involve asking students curriculum questions that they have been taught in the classroom. For each question answered correctly, your child's tribe will receive points. The tribe with the most points will receive a medal of recognition. Each child who participates will receive a ribbon of participation. Parents will be asked to answer questions and earn points for their children as well. We will be covering the following curriculum: Math Standards Reading Standards Science Standards Fun Facts Standards are what is required curriculum (what the teacher teaches) in your child's grade Guess How Many Games At the end of this camp our community partner is University Medical Center and we hope to offer a mini physical this is still in the working it all out stages, so be please watch your parent table.
Update over our Driving Safety course for 5th - 8th grade students, 70 students took the test and all passed but three received warnings (1) Speeding (1) Almost hit the pedestrian (1) Hit 8 cones and ran the golf cart up the hill a little bit lol....Check out the pictures
