Each year the LSSD offers several different FREE Parenting Classes. The
Parenting Classes are offered through the LSSD Family Resource Center. Nancy
Guethlein, CHUE Counselor, Pam Sampson, CHUE Assistant Principal and Beth
Petty, FCR Director facilitate the classes.
These classes are open to parents in the LSSD system as well as the Wilson
County School System.

Parents on Board (helping children be successful with homework
Parents on Board (helping your child with homework)
Active Parenting (Ages 5 - 12)
Active Parenting of Teens
Bullying Information for Parents
Internet Safety
Active Parenting for Divorced Parents

Parenting to Prevent Child Abuse
Parenting to Prevent Violence
Parenting to Prevent Drug Abuse

We are scheduling one night Parenting Classes on (mainly) the first Monday of
the month, so participants can plan ahead of time to attend. There will be
additional classes that are two- night classes scheduled throughout the year.
