Hello! My name is Tammy Sheppard and I am a teacher at Castle
Heights Elementary School. I am married and I have two daughters, Hanna and
Gracie. Hanna is in 7th grade at Walter J. Baird and Gracie
is in Kindergarten at Coles Ferry.
My family and I moved to Mt.Juliet in 2004 from Greenville, North
Carolina. While in Greenville, I obtained my B.S. in Middle Grades Education
from East Carolina University and began working on my M.S. in Math. In
addition, I taught 6th grade language arts, reading, writing, and social
studies at E.B. Aycock Middle School for three years.
I have many interests and hobbies. I absolutely love sports regardless
of whether I am watching or playing. In addition, I love the arts and I
enjoy the outdoors. A new hobby that I have is scrapbooking, photography,
and motorcycle riding, which I try to enjoy quite often. As you can see, I
am not one to sit around. I enjoy staying active with my family whenever
possible.
To challenge my students, stretch their thinking, and prepare them for the
future. To teach them about teamwork and good character,
while promoting self-worth. To create a family atmosphere in the classroom
that will be free of negative influences and hurt feelings.
