This is my sixth year teaching at WJB. I have lived in Lebanon all of my life
and graduated from LHS in 1988. I have a Master's Degree in Education from
Cumberland University.

Here are a couple pics of my "furry children"!

I absolutely LOVE teaching and truly enjoy the middle school students I teach.
I like to think I help teach my students a few things about life other than
just math, as are stated below:

A Teacher's Prayer
        by James J. Metcalf

I want to teach my students how
to live this life on Earth.
To face it's struggles and it's strife
and to improve their worth.
Not just the lessons in a book
or how the rivers flow,
but how to choose the proper path
wherever they may go.
To understand eternal truth
and know the right from wrong,
and gather all the beauty of
a flower and a song.
For if I help the world to grow
in wisdom and in grace,
then I shall feel that I have won
and I have filled my place.
And so i ask your guidance, God
that I may do my part.
For character and confidence
and happiness of heart.

Ms. Claridy's Mission for Eighth Grade Math:

Each of us is an unique and wonderful individual. We all learn differently
and at different paces.
Therefore, my mission is for each child to learn math concepts and to think as
problem solvers about how math may be used in the every day world. New
concepts and skills are taught through whole class instruction, peer
tutoring, small group teacher led activities, content mastery and one-on-one
teaching sessions. Every student is capable of being a mathematician!
