Bookmarks or Favorites: Locations of information or sites you find interesting, that you can return to saved in a list.
e-mail: Electronic mail that allows individuals to communicate.
Downloading: Process where information from the Internet is placed in your computer.
HTML: Computer language.
Homepage: Introduction or welcome page of a website.
icon: Visual symbol on your computer screen.
Netscape or Internet Explorer: Web browser program designed to access individual websites.
URL: Uniform Resource Locator address used by the web browser to locate the site.
WWW: World Wide Web.
Web Browser: Computer program which helps you access information on the Internet.

com - commercial organizations
edu - educational institutions
gov - government (US)
mil - military (US)
net - networks
org - nonprofit organizations
Domains are a collection of networks making up the Internet. The domains represent either a type of organization or a geographical location. For example, a site in the domain edu would be an educational institution and a site in the domain tn.us would be in Tennessee.
