I graduated from LCHS in 1989 and then attended Motlow State Community
College and then Middle Tennessee State University. I have a BS in
Mathematics. I enjoy teaching math, and this is my 10th year to teach math.
I have been at NGA for 3 years and I also am the Student Council sponsor. At
home I have a husband of 17 years, Jay, and a 12 year old son, Jon-Tyler, and
we have two solid white cats, Stubby and Waggs.
My mission for this class is for all of my students to learn to think about
math on their own and come up with ideas of how to work with a problems they
don't understand. We all have to start from somewhere and if all we know how
to do in the beginning is just write the problems down on paper, then that is
our starting place. We will work hard to solve each problem together as a
class. I look forward to working with all of my students this year. I want
to show my students how to enjoy learning.
