| CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR September S.T.A.R. STUDENT: Riley Cormia
Please check your child's "Take Home" (blue) folder every night for papers
that need to be looked at or notes that need to be read. Occasionally I will
have papers that need to be signed and returned to me, but they will be
stamped asking for a signature. I will also want them to get their Agenda
Book signed every night except Friday even though there will be some days
where there will be nothing new written in them.
We will have a Reading/Vocabulary and Spelling Test every Friday unless I
tell you ahead of time. Occasionally, when we have a short week, we will
not test that week.
Remember, if there is a check mark at the top of the paper, that means a
grade was not given for that assignment. Typically I do not give a grade if
it was over a new skill, we did it together, or I see from the grades that I
need to re-teach that objective.
\Your child may bring a drink to school to have after our Special Classes in
the afternoon. Please do not send Coke, Pepsi, or similar sugary,
carbonated drinks. We will keep it in the refrigerator till that time each
day.
Remember to check your Snack Calendar for your day to provide snacks.
In third grade:
A S.T.A.R. student is a boy or girl selected each month because of the good
behavior they show at school. It is based on good citizenship, being
helpful to others, showing consideration of others, overall good behavior,
and for being responsible in turning work in on time. I hope all our
students will strive to be a S.T.A.R. student this year.
