CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR December S.T.A.R. STUDENT: Cole Sullivan
August: Savannah Stone
September: Riley Cormia
October: Casey Vowell
November: Madison Vincent
I hope your family had a great Christmas time together. My family certainly
did and we got spoiled to not having to be up so early in the mornings!
Parent Teacher Conferences will be Thursday, January 22 from 3:00-6:00 p.m.
I will be sending home a list so you can request an appointment time for us
to meet about the needs of your child this year.
As we start back in this new year, your child may need new crayons, glue, or
scissors. Please check with them to see that they have adequate supplies.
Many children brought 2 boxes of crayons at the beginning of the year, and I
will be giving them their second box immediately.
Classroom supplies: We are almost out of Germ-X, in fact, we are using our
last small bottle now. If you would be willing to help with this supply I
would certainly sppreciate that. We try to do everything we can to avoid
sharing bad germs in our classroom. We are OK for now on Kleenex, paper
towels, and Clorox wipes. Thanks so much for your help with this.
Agenda Books: Agenda Books must be signed every night except weekends. From
now on, your child will lose Recess if it is not signed. However, if your
child regularly gets their Agenda Book signed, and once in a great while it
doesn't happen, they will not suffer any consequence. My concern is for
those who are not being responsible on a regular basis to get this done, and
many of them are not even bothering to write down the information from the
board so parents know important information.
I'm looking forward to seeing "my" children again! We have a lot to cover by
the end of the year!
In third grade:
A S.T.A.R. student is a boy or girl selected each month because of the good
behavior they show at school. It is based on good citizenship, being
helpful to others, showing consideration of others, overall good behavior,
and for being responsible in turning work in on time. I hope all our
students will strive to be a S.T.A.R. student this year.
