4-H

Our first meeting was successful. We have elected officers. Annabelle is the president, Katie is the secretary, and Mason is in charge of community service.

Please remember to sign your child's 4-H handbook. That earns a point for our class. Every point helps when trying to win the spirit award.

The meeting on October 15th was very successful. Nine students had their handbook signed by parents and most all students had their handbooks at the meeting.

All but two students participated in the Photography Contest. Mrs. Erin was impressed with the photography. Hopefully, we will get a spirit award this year.

The 4-H bulletin board earned a purple ribbon. Thanks to Dakota, Larkin, Mary Katherine, and Madison for such good work on the board entitled "4-H: Something to Scream About!"

Our meeting next month will be on November 12th and the activity is the 4-H Poster Contest. Please check in the Student Handbook for details on the the contest. All students will be required to participate and a grade will be given in reading.

The November meeting was held by Mr. Bob since Mrs. Erin has the chickenpox. Almost all students had 4-H posters ready for the contest. Our winners were Cole and Katie. All ot the posters looked great. The bulletin board committee, with the help of many others, put together a very good board. The theme was "Give Thanks to 4-H."

Our next meeting will be in January and will be the speech contest. All students must participate. Eight students will be chosen to compete during the 4-H meeting and winners will be chosen by Mrs. Erin to compete in the county contest.

Thanks for your help.
