About The Teacher Label:
About The Teacher
Hello, my name is Jane Bragg. I have been teaching thirty-three years and have experience in K-5th grades. Most of my experience has been at Martin Elementary School. This is my second year to teach fifth grade and I truly enjoy fifth graders. My hobbies include knitting, reading, gardening, and playing with my grandson as much as possible! My husband, Richard Bragg, is a retired teacher in the Weakley County School System. He coached football for a while at the beginning of his teaching career at Westview High School, as well as teaching Economics, American Government, and Geography. He retired in 2005 and is now at home taking a well-deserved break. Richard and I have two sons. Russ and his wife, the former Selena Bell, live in Evansville, Indiana where Russ is a regional sales manager for Cargill and Selena teaches third grade at Delaware Elementary School in Evansville. They have one son, John Lawson, who turned one on May 28th. Our younger son, Jim, is teaching Agriculture at Gleason High School. He is married to Erin Marquis of Waterloo, Illinois. They met while attending Murray State University. She is the Weakley County 4-H Extention Agent. They live in Martin.
Mission Label:
Mission
My mission is to help each child develop a love for reading and learning. We will be using self-monitoring techniques to control impluses and accept responsibility. Building self-confidence will be an important part of each day, as well of learning self-respect and respect for others. The ultimate goal in our classroom is to be prepared for Middle School. This includes being academically sound and responsible for making appropriate choices at school.
