The onset of winter and the holiday season provides many learning
opportunities. Both CLUE and resource students have been incorporating
seasonal ideas with learning new skills as well as honing acquired ones. In
addition, both groups have been focusing on developing writing skills during
the past few weeks.
CLUE students have been learning to use figurative language techniques to
expand their creative writing skills. Their creativity has really blossomed
as they have explored idioms, alliterations, similes, metaphors, hyperboles,
and onomatopoeias.
Resource students have been perfecting writing skills while learning about
sentence parts, subject/verb agreement, and letter writing. Santa is going
to be very impressed with our letters!
