Homework

Please sign your child's agenda nightly after homework assignments have been
completed. I also ask that you look through your child's homework folder each
night for notes, behavior chart, and graded papers. 
                     
                           GENERAL CLASS ASSIGNMENTS  

MONDAY
Parents are required to sign weekly vocabulary and spelling list in homework
notebook. Study spelling words and vocabulary definitions.  Practice addition
and subtraction facts. Read at least 15 minutes per night. Monday folder with
TCAP Math and Reading practice is due on Friday. Please review these skills
with your child to help them maintain knowledge of skills throughout the year.
Practice multiplication facts.
 
TUESDAY-WEDNESDAY
Practice multiplication facts. Read at least 15 minutes per 
night.

THURSDAY
Study for weekly spelling and reading tests. Be sure to read the
story for the week. Review vocabulary words and reading strategy that go 
along with the story. Practice multiplication facts.

FRIDAY
Practice multiplication facts. Remember to get your Behavior Chart signed over
the weekend.

Math-Chapter 17-Measurement-Using a Ruler;Inches, Feet, Yards, and Miles;
Capacity:Cups, Pints, Quarts, and Gallons

Multiplication Facts:Continue to practice at home on:0's, 1's, 2's,3's
Our main focus will be on the 3's.

Spelling List-Words with /ou/ sound - A test will be given this week. 
Check your child's homework notebook for this week's spelling 
words.

Reading Strategies-Drawing Conclusions
Vocabulary Strategy-Multiple Meaning Words
Text Feature/Literary Elements:
A test will be given over the above skills on Friday.
