It has been wonderful getting to know all of my students! The 2009-2010
school year has gotten off to a great start!
In resource, students are actively engaged in reading weekly stories and
completing activities. They have been working on sequencing story events,
identifying story elements, and evaluating stories for elements of fantasy
and reality. In spelling, students just began learning words at new
levels. Our current focus in language is on identifying and using nouns
appropriately. Finally, in resource math students have been solving word
problems, identifying the place value of digits, and working on addition and
subtraction facts.
During 4th grade CLUE students are currently involved in a unit on
volcanoes. Students are researching volcanoes around the world and will
soon build their own volcano in class. Stay tuned for updated pictures!
