Is school getting out early for snow?

The local radio stations have this information as soon as the school does. 
Please turn on your radio or television to  the local stations (WCMT 101.3 
ro WBBJ TV) to receive this information. Please DO NOT call the school and 
tie up the phone lines.

May I visit my child's classroom?

We encourage you to visit your child's classroom any time. If it is during 
instructional time, it is necessary for you to schedule an appointment with 
the teacher prior to the visit.

Why do I have to sign in each time I visit the school and receive a badge?

We strive to provide a safe and secure environment for everyone at MES. This 
security measure allows us the opportunity to document all visitors, the 
time of the visit, and the reason for the visit. If any incident arises that 
is questionable, the system will allow us to check our records to see who 
was in our building at that particular time. Thanks for all of your 
cooperation in this matter.

Why do you require a note to change the way my child goes home?

Again, this allows us to know that you are aware that the change is 
necessary. We do not recognize voices on the phone, therefore we feel 
uncomfortable accepting phone calls requesting the change. This is for the 
safety of all of our students.
