All Weakley County students will register on August 6, 2009 from 8:00 to
11:30 a.m. If an emergency should occur and cause you to not be able to
register your child(ren), please call the school at 731-587-2290 to inform
us concerning your child's expected arrival.
All new students registering for the first time in Weakley County will need
to present a certified copy of the birth certificate, a social security
card, and a immunization record on the Tennessee form. If the child is a new
student to Tennessee for the first time, he/she will also be required to
have a physical exam.
Students will begin classes on August 11, 2009.
We want to say a huge WELCOME to our new group of third graders. We are
looking forward to meeting you and getting to know you and your families.
We are now recycling. Martin Elementary School and the Student Council in a
joint effort are collecting paper, aluminum cans, plastics, and cardboard
for recycling. We are putting forth an effort to save our resources. Please
feel free to help us out by sending your products (separated and in plastic
bags).
We are also still collecting Box Tops and Tyson A+ strips. We have had a lot
of success with the Box Tops. Thanks very much for all of your support. The
funds from this allows us to be able to keep our technology up-to-date and
repaired. Thanks very much for such making us very successful in this effort
last year. We are going to be able to update much of our technology in our
building. We want to be able to offer a first-class education to all of our
students, and we feel that technology enhances our already strong curriculum.
Martin Elementary School classes begin at 7:40 and dismiss at 2:40.
