Dear Parents,
Oh my, we have been so busy! We have so many skills to get covered before
TCAP. Remember that comprehension is a big factor. Voc. is a big factor.
Work hard on these two areas with your children.
Look for these words in Reading this week… extreme, waste, conditions,
forecast, warm, sound, cold, great, their, predict, know. PLEASE work with
your children on these words each night. Some children are not studying
these before Fri. I am testing these all week. It is so obvious who is
working on these words and who is not. Thanks for helping your child.
In math, we are working on greater than, less than and equal to. We
are also learning to tell time by the hour.
Look for Spelling words on Mon. I will test these on Wed. and Thur.
Our Valentine party will be on Feb. 14th. It will begin at 1:00 and
parents are to be out of the building by 1:45. You may be contacted to bring
or send something for our party. We appreciate the wonderful parties we have
had this year! They have all been great!!! Your children may bring their
Val. cards on Monday, Feb.11th.
Our unit will be focused around the heart and Valentine.
Next week will be a 4 day week. We will be out on Fri. for teacher
staff development. Then, we will be out on Mon. Feb.18th. for President’s
Day. Enjoy your extra days!!!
