I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Holiday!  I enjoyed being with 
family and friends!

Important dates:
Thursday, Dec. 3rd:  Mega Party for cookie dough sales
Friday, Dec. 4th:  Dismiss at 11:30  Lunch will be served. 
Friday, Dec. 18th:  Christmas Party 8:00  We will have a breakfast party for 
Christmas.  I will be sending home a sign up sheet for items we will need for 
the party.

Remember to turn in your homework folder on Friday.

Reading:

Continue to practice our “popcorn” words.  We have 3 new words this week.  We 
will be teaching children to associate the letter “b” with the letter 
sound “/b/” like in the word baby.  Students will also be learning that the 
sound “/n/” goes with the letter “n” like in the word nest.  Have your child 
tell you the sound the letters “b” and “n” make.  Ask your child to list 
things that begin with these sounds. 
We are also reading words that contain the letters that we have been 
studying.  Please help your child practice “sounding out” and reading these 
words at home.

Math:
We are beginning to learn about different types of shapes.  Some new shapes 
we are learning are sphere, cone, cube, and cylinder.
