I am happily married to Jeff Milam. I have 2 wonderful children. They are
Hannah 11 and Jackson 6. Hannah is in 6th grade. Jackson is in first grade.
I think as a teacher everyone should have a child in their school system. It
makes a teacher more sensitive to their students needs.
I graduated from Lambuth University with my Bachelors of Science degree in
1997. I have been teaching for 9 years. My first job was at Parkview
Montessori, in Madison Co. I worked with special needs children. I had a
wonderful learning opportunity there. Then I applied for my current job in
Medina. I taught first grade for seven years. I enjoy working in Medina.
We have a home town atmosphere that is somewhat like a private school. Our
students here have so many opportunities and parental support. That is the
biggest difference about Medina Elem.
Some of you may wonder why I wanted to change to second grade. After seven
years in the same grade level, I wanted a change. I wanted to develop my
students skills of knowing how to read and to write. I feel like my teaching
curriculum will be unlimited! I really love being a second grader!
I am so proud to have your child in my class. I look forward to our year
together. I love to see how the children change through out the year! I am a
teacher that requires communication. Please feel free to contact me anytime.
You can call me at home, write a note, or email.
Focus on helping students do what is right- not just stopping what is wrong!
Be Consistent & try our best!
Our class is a TEAM, we must make a bond!
This is not just another year of school, MAKE AN IMPACT!
