About The Teacher
Ever since I was a little girl I have wanted to be a teacher. I grew up in Jackson and had a great school experience. I still remember my Kindergarten teacher and some of the things we did in class. I hoope to be a teacher that my students will always remember. I have been teaching Kindergarten here at Medina for 8 years. I am a 2000 graduate of Union University with a B.S. in elementary education. I also received my Master's Degree in Education in 2004. I am married and have one daughter - Ashley who is 4. I enjoy being outside and spending time with my family and friends. I have really enjoyed teaching Kindergarten here at Medina the past 9 years. I decided I needed a change and took a second grade postion. So far it has be wonderful! These students have so much more independence and are wanting to learn so much. I look forward to working with this group of students and hope to learn from them as well. It is wonderful to watch them learn and grow through the year! "Train up a child in the way he or she should go, and they will not depart from it"

Mission
My mission for our class includes creating an environment where all students can learn, prosper, and be successful students. Elementary school is so important to set the stage for student sucess in the education journey. It is also my mission for the students to enjoy school and know that they are loved!
