About The Teacher
I have been teaching at Medina Elementary School since 1995. I taught 4th grade my first year and I have been teaching 3rd grade all the other years. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Tennessee at Martin in the spring of 1995. I am a 1991 graduate of Peabody High School in Trenton. I played softball and basketball throughout high school. In 1989, I met Joedy Stringer. We married on July 1, 1995. On September 7, 1998 we were blessed with our first child, Jaxon Dominic Stringer. Jaxon will be a fifth grader at MMS. His sister, Jesse Sinclaire Stringer was born on March 7, 2004. She will be a Kindergartener at MES. My parents are Bill and Pat Howell of Trenton.

Mission
The mission for my class is to continue building the students' basic reading and math skills. I want to prepare students for the 4th grade to the best of my ability. It is my hope that each student will grow academically as much as possible throughout his/her third grade year. I believe everyone has the right to learn in a safe environment. I want my students to learn to be organized, responsible, and caring individuals. These are qualities that will be important to them throughout their lives.
