What do I do with the Phonics Reader and Decodable Reader sent home each week?
Read, read, read! Practice reading these books with your child. They
reinforce the letter sounds, blending, and sight words for the week.
Why is my child coloring in his/her planner each day?
At the end of each school day, your child records his/her behavior in the
planner by coloring a green, yellow, red, or blue circle. The color
indicates the color card your child was on for that day.
When do birthday parties begin?
Parties begin at 2:30. You may bring or send birthday snacks.
When does my child eat lunch? Can I come and eat with my child?
We eat lunch at 10:40. We start walking to the cafeteria at 10:35. You are
welcome to come anytime! Go to the office, sign-in, and wait outside our
classroom door.
How do I send ice cream money and lunch money?
Please send them in different envelopes labeled, "lunch money" or "ice cream
money." The envelopes go to two different places. They cannot be put together!
Place them in your child's planner. I check the planners each morning.
What do I do with my child's planner?
Send the planner to school EVERY day. It is a great communication tool for me
and you. I check it every morning. Please sign it each day. You may place
notes, money, etc. in the front clear pocket. I will also place important
information in the pocket for you.
Why do I have to have a car tag to pick up my child?
Having a car tag helps ensure your child's safety. We do not release a child
to anyone without a tag.
