Note: Grading policy: Grades are taken on definitions of vocabulary words,
people, and places, quizzes, projects, and test. Miscellaneous activities
are used also for grades such as essay questions, poems, reports, research
projects, drawing maps and timelines, reading graphs and charts, etc.
Class work is 30%, test is 40%, quizzes and projects are 30% each.(projects
are not given as often as classwork or test. Miscellaneous activities are
considered as classwork or homework.
If students grades are very low, I do give them a chance to do extra work
for extra credit. They have to research a place we are studying and be able
to write two pages of important facts about that place or time.
Students who miss school are given two days to make up work and if they do
not it becomes a zero, otherwise work that is not done or turned in on due
date is a grade of zero.
