Week of January 12, 2004 Preposition Test Monday (1/12) Wrestling Match Monday (1/12) 4-H Tuesday (1/13) Wrestling Match Wednesday (1/14) Kitchen Math Activity Friday (1/16) 6th Grade dance @3P.M. Friday (1/16) Week of November 3, 2003 *Math Board Game Project assigned. Due dates in "Upcoming Projects" *Wrestling begins November 5. *Monday will include sun clocks, and algebraic expressions. *Tuesday will include student council representative elections, sun clocks, Words and Music, and Freak the Mighty assessment activities. *Wednesday will be Egypt Day. All students will present and teach their topics. Parents are encouraged to attend. *Thursday and Friday will wrap up all activities from earlier in the week. Week of October 20, 2003 1. All supplies are due for science labs and social studies on Monday, October 20. Please remember all of the School House Rock video materials, too. We will begin taping those this week. 2. Mr. P will be away from school on Tuesday, October 21. He will be conducting a workshop for NPT (Ch. 8). 3. Egypt projects will now be due after the over night field trip to 4-H camp. The new date for Egypt Day is November 5. 4. A parent meeting is scheduled for Monday at 5:30. The meeting will be held to answer questions about the upcoming field trip. Week of September 22, 2003 We are really working hard to collect enough money to meet our "Invest in Excellence" goal. Our goal is $1750. We plan to meet that goal by the end of the week. Please don't forget to do your part..... Thanks again to Mr. Williams (Jarett's dad) for his help in setting us up with the Schoolhouse Rock cds. We appreciate this very much. Thanks to Ben's parents for donating items to the General Store. It is so nice to have parents like we have this year in our class! You all are making it a great year. Other reminders: Picture day is Wednesday, September 24. Please wear bright colors and avoid pull over shirts with messages on them. Also remember yearbook orders will be sold at that time. Reserve your then! The yearbook costs $26 this year. We plan to go to Grand Ole Golf on Wednesday, October 1. More info will follow! Week of 9.2.03 Don't forget to search about judging (scores) in the Olympics. This is due for extra credit by Friday! Don't forget to HEAD YOUR PAPER correctly! Tuesday Folders fo home 9-2-03. Those without K-12 Planet access received progress reports. Did you check the NewsChannel5 site (listed in the educational links section on the main page) to see Christina's, Hunter's, and Alina's weather art? Please select an historical fiction book by Wednesday, 9/3/03. Fair testing models will continue in science. Will they be changed? BOWLING!!! Wednesday, 9/3/03 3:15-5:45 P.M. General Store Friday, 9/5/03- Check site for sales and tax rates! Latitude activities will continue... We will continue Holes in Book Club. Thanks sooo much to Mr. Hammons (Thomas' dad) for all of his help. He got our classroom wired for the internet. We are now are to surf the net thanks to his help! Thank you very much Mr. Craig Owensby for putting up our marker board and screen. We have really utilized them a lot!!! Thanks to Jarett Williams and his parents for donating to the General Store! We will put it to good use! Thanks to our principal, Mrs. Burns, for donating to our General Store. We appreciate it very much! Thanks to Hunter Evans and his parents for donating to the Geberal Store. We will enjoy purchasing those items! Thanks to Mr. Orleck for getting our printers and projector working! Open House was Thursday, August 21. Thanks to all who were here! Ms. Zito will teach reading and geography for part of this week. We will have Book Clubs all week. Remember to bring hats.
