12/14/09 through 12/18/09 Happy Holidays! We have all of our stocking stuffer bags, but please, remember to keep bringing STOCKING STUFFERS for 20 students. Since this is a very busy week, I will postpone STAR STUDENT OF THE WEEK until after the holidays. In Reading, we will focus on reviewing skills for TCAP. There WILL NOT be a new story this week. In Spelling, there will be no new list words. We will review our old words. Handwriting will be postponed until after the holidays due to the Christmas musical practices. In math, we are still focusing our studies on fractions. In Science, we are finishing up Chapter 4. We are discussing the different kinds of rocks, minerals, and natural resources. Feel free to allow your child to bring in any rocks and minerals that they may want to show the class. HAVE A GREAT WEEK!! I know it well be hectic, but the kids are doing an awesome job on the Christmas musical!! YOU SHOULD HEAR THEM SING!! MRS.
