Happy New Year!
I am proud to announce that Heather Combs is the STAR STUDENT OF THE WEEK !
In Reading, we will be starting book 2 of our reading series. The first story
will be called "Wings".
In Spelling, we will be back on track with new list words and a test on Friday.
Handwriting will be mastering more capital cursive letters. Check your child's
folder for their progress.
In math, we will be back on track with lessons 80-84. Test on Monday.
In Science, we will be going back and reviewing Ch. 4 on the solar system,
rocks, minerals, and resources for a few days. Then, we are taking off with Ch.
9 in Social Studies. Remember--we split the 6 weeks between science and social
studies. Three weeks of social studies--then three weeks of science.
Lastly, I would like to say thank your for all of the kind notes, beautiful
cards, and wonderful gifts from my students and parents. I understand how
difficult gift giving can be on a family budget during these lean economic
times. However, I am thankful and very grateful for your kindness. Your most
special gift is entrusting me with the education of your child each and every
day. I will try my utmost to not let you down.
