This is my eleventh year of teaching. For six of those years, I taught at
Bradford Elementary. At Bradford, I taught sixth grade for five years, and
I taught second grade for one year. This is my fifth year at Milan
Elementary. In Milan, I have taught only third grade. I went to elementary
school in Savannah, Tennessee, through the fifth grade. I moved to Bradford
and started school at Bradford Elementary in the sixth grade. I graduated
from Bradford High School in 1993. I went to college at Union University
for my bachelor's and Master's degrees. I am a proud wife and mother. My
wonderful husband is Andrew Bartholomew, and we have been married for twelve
years. He is a hard worker and a great singer! My fabulous children are
Jenna, Laci, and Hayden Bartholomew. Jenna is eight years old, and she is
in Mrs. Martin's third grade this year at Milan Elementary. Laci is six
years old, and she is attending Mrs. McCurley's first grade class at Milan
Elementary. Hayden is two years old, and he is attending
daycare at Milan Christian Care.
My favorite things are children, reading, singing, family, friends,
and church. I love to laugh and be silly. Most of all, I like to make a
difference in people's lives in a fun and loving way.
The mission for my class if to involve students, families, MES faculty and
staff, and community in providing an inviting, safe atmosphere in which
students can achieve their full potential intellectually, socially,
emotionally, physically and morally.
