My name is Misti Dudley and I am one of the school counselors here at Milan
Elementary. I am so excited to be here in this excellent school system. I
graduated from the University of Memphis is 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in
Elementary Education K-8. I went directly into teaching at Bradford
Elementary School where I taught 3rd grade for 3 1/2 years and loved every
minute of it! I then went on to the University of Tennessee (Martin campus)
to receive my Master's degree in Education with an emphasis in School
Counseling and graduated from there in May 2009. Then I was blessed to have
received this job where I can put those newly aquired skills to work.
On a more personal level, I am 26 years old and have a wonderful husband
named Seth Dudley. I am very active and enjoy playing baseball/softball,
tennis, and basketball. I also enjoy walking and running.
I would love to hear from you anytime, so if you have any questions,
comments, or concerns please feel free to call me at 686-0840 or email me at
dudleym@milanssd.org.
We, the counseling department at Milan Elementary, have a school counseling
program in place that focuses on prevention and intervention activities. The
curriculum consists of three domains set aside by the American School
Counseling Association (ASCA). They are academic development, career
development, and personal/social development. Through proactive curriculum
planning and exposure to this balanced school curriculum, all students will
be assisted in reaching their maximum academic potential, while at the same
time developing the career and personal/social skills needed to mold each
child into a whole individual that will someday contribute back to society in
a positive and productive manner.
