Hello! My name is Susan Badgett and I have been teaching at Milan
Elementary School for six years.I have taught 1st grade for four years and
this is my second year teaching 4th grade. I recieved my Masters Degree in
Education in August of 2004 from Union University. I recieved my BS degree
from Union University in December of 1986. I am Highly Qualified by the
State Department of Tennessee. This is my 23rd year to teach. I have
previously taught 5th, 2nd and kindergarten, the most years being in
kindergarten. I love getting up everyday to come and learn with my students.
It is a joy for me to see such growth in my students every year.
I have two children. Taylor is a going to be a junior at the University
of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Lauren is in 8th grade this year and enjoys
softball and basketball. We have two dogs, Bo and Sophie. Bo is a mixed
breed who adopted us 9 years ago. Sophie is a golden retriever.
My husband's name is Jeff. Jeff is employed at Ceco Door Company. We enjoy
almost all outdoor activities.
The mission for my class is to involve students, families, MES faculty and
staff, and community in providing an inviting, safe atmosphere in which
students can achieve their full potential intellectually, socially,
emotionally, physically and morally.
