Discipline Policy I am looking forward to an exciting year filled with fun and learning! In order for all students to have a safe environment for learning, I have developed the following Discipline Plan. I have discussed these Rules/Rewards/ Consequences with the students. Please read and discuss this plan again with your child. Keep this letter for future reference. Classroom Rules: 1. Talk quietly 2. listen and follow directions 3. Respect everyone 4. Be safe at work and play 5. Keep your feet, hands and other objects to yourself 6. Follow all MES rules Rewards: Students will be rewarded for good behavior by receiving special privileges- stickers, treasure chest and canteen. Students who pull no more than 2 frogs will be allowed to go to canteen on Friday. I will let you know when we start canteen. Consequences: You will know everyday how your child behaved by looking at their agenda. Your child will have a stick. Each day the stick will be on green. The sticks work just like a stop light. They go from green to yellow to red. There is a warning given before they have to move their stick to yellow. If your child moves their stick moves past red they will go to the office or be paddled. I will put a sticker in your child’s agenda to let you know what color they were on. What happens when your child breaks a rule: 1. Warning 2. Yellow stick- conference with teacher 3. Red stick- conference with teacher 4. Past Red stick- conference with teacher, and office or paddled
