As the Family Involvement Coordinator, I strive to find opportunities to
involve parents and families in their children's education. The Parent
Advisory Council (PAC) meets monthly to plan activities in which
families participate that will unite parents, families, teachers, and
students with our school.
The bi-monthly newsletter Milan Elementary School News is a way to help keep
parents, guardians, students, and teachers informed about things that are or
will be happening in the school. The Milan Middle School News is printed and
sent home with grade reporting. It will be sent with the mid-grade reports
and with report cards. It, too, will keep parents, guardians, students, and
teachers informed about school activities. The "Family Matters" newsletter is
another way to help parents/families with timely announcements, websites,
surveys, and parenting information.
