My name is Denise Bergin and this is my 6th year at Mt. Juliet Elementary.
I was born and raised in Nashville, TN, and attended high school at Father
Ryan. I received my Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications at MTSU and
began a career in Customer Service which led to a career in Human Resources
at a local insurance brokerage firm. During the latter part of my
corporate years, I volunteered with Junior Achievement and gained my first
experience in the school setting. I found it to be very rewarding, and
after approximately 15 years in business, I decided to change
careers and pursue a Master's degree in School Counseling from Middle
Tennessee State University. I have two children - Ally who is in 5th grade
at MJE, and Nick is in 7th grade at MJ Middle School.
I look forward to visiting your child's class every three weeks for
classroom guidance. Lessons focus on character, bullying prevention,
and conflict resolution. I especially enjoy classroom guidance because it
gives me the opportunity to get to know the children, and we have fun while
learning!
To contribute to the academic, personal/social and career development
of all students with respect for their uniqueness in order for all
students to become productive, responsible citizens.
