Do I need to sign the agenda each night?
Yes, please sign your child's agenda each night (excepted Friday
night) so
that I will know that you have checked it on a daily basis. You
will not
need to sign your child's agenda on Friday night. I will not
check agendas
on Monday mornings. However, the students will need their
agendas at school
to write their weekly assignments in them.
When are spelling tests?
Spelling tests will be given on Fridays. If we only have a 2 or
3 day
week of school then there will be no new Spelling words that week.
What day does my child have Art, Computer, Library, Music, and PE?
Support class is 10:15-11:00 each day. Our schedule will be as
follows:
Monday - Library
Tuesday - Music
Wednesday - Computer
Thursday - Art
Friday - PE **Please be sure your child wears tennis shoes.**
Does my child need to read at home each night?
Please try and have your child read at home each night for at
least 15
minutes. This is a good habit for them.
When do I need to send in lunch money?
Please send in lunch money on Monday mornings for the week.
Please include
your child's lunch code number on the check.
Do we have to write assignments in our agendas?
Yes, assignments are written on the board and each Monday
students are
required to copy them in their agendas. This helps parents see
what we are
studying in school and helps students not 'forget' the page
numbers of
assignments done as homework.
How can I help my child at home?
You can help your child at home by making sure that his/her
homework is done
each night and that you check over it. Please make sure that
your child's
agenda is signed each night. Encourage your child to read a
little each
night. Then make sure that your child cleans his/her book bag
every so
often. This will help your child feel organized when he/she
comes to school.
Please make sure that your child comes to school with the proper
supplies
(pencils, red pens, eraser, crayons, scissors and yellow
highlighters).
