Important Information from the MJE School Cafeteria:
We hope you will enjoy dining with your child during this school year!
Changes have been made to provide a safe and secure dining environment for
your child.
** Only you and your child are allowed to eat on the outside patio.
** When eating outside, please dispose of trash items in the designated
area.
** No photos of any kind , may be taken of other students.
**When bringing treats for your child's birthday, please limit treats to
YOUR child's class ONLY.
**For a more enjoyable dining experience inside with your child, you will
notice that there are designated "Vistor" tables at the end of each row of
tables(per class), where you can eat with your child only.

The Bear Facts
Mrs. Jones’ 1st Grade
Important Information:
We have started our 2009-2010 school fundraiser. The fundraiser goes through
September 2nd. We are also collecting pull tabs for the Ronald McDonald House
if you would like to send those in.
I will be sending home a parent information sheet tomorrow. If you would like
your information included in the class directory, please fill it out and
return it to me by Friday.

Happy 6th Birthday Zach! Zach turns 6 on Thursday!
What will we learn this week?
Spelling/Phonics: Students will have their spelling lists in their BEAR book
Monday. Our test will be on Friday. Our phonics skill this week is short o
and adding –s to the end of words.
Reading: Our reading story is The Big Blue Ox. Our target skill is
determining the setting of a story, and reviewing characters.
Language: We are studying Action Words! The class is already having a great
time.
Science: We will be using our new Science Weekly readers to learn about
tools, adventures, and safety when learning about Science.
Handwriting: S, V
Math: Continuing chapter 2 addition.
