The Bear Facts
January 25th-29th
Reminders:
-Your child has a new A.R. Level, and will be able to check out books on
their new level starting this Wednesday. Your child must return books to be
able to check out new ones.
-The 100th day of school is on Thursday! I will be providing a special snack
on that day; students will also have a few 100th day items from school in
their BEAR book that day.
What are we learning this week?
Spelling and Phonics: We are continuing to work on R-controlled words. (or,
ur, ir, er)
Reading: Our story this week is I’m a Caterpillar.
Math: We will be finishing up place value, and beginning Chapter 11- greater
than and less than.
Language: Verbs- am, is, were, and was
Social Studies: We are on our second week of learning about Maps and Globes,
next week we will be learning about proper dental health.
