When do I send in lunch money?
It is easier on everyone if lunch money is sent in on Mondays. If
paying by check, please write your child's name and lunch code on
the memo line.
It is perfectly acceptable to send in a large amount of money at
a
time. Whenever the account gets low, you can be notified. Any
unused days will carry over into the next week.

Can my child purcahse extra food items from the cafeteria?
There are several extras available for purchase. These include
ice-
cream, chips, fruit snacks, water, etc. Be sure to disscuss with
your child if they can purchase extras at lunch. I will not
monitor
which children are purchasing extras and which are not. This is
between you and your child.

May I send in treats for my child's birthday?
Yes, you may send in treats. The children will eat them in the
cafeteria after lunch. You may send them with your child, bring
them to the room yourself before 7:30, or bring them to the
cafeteria at lunchtime. (11:55) If you bring them to the
cafeteria,
please only give the treats to the children in our class.
When is homework assigned?
Children will be given assignments for the week on Monday. They
will need to copy the assignments into their agendas.
Are there opportunities for extra credit?
I will give some opportunities for extra credit each nine weeks.
What should I do if my child is absent?
If your child is absent, please make sure to send in an excuse
note the day they return to school (doctor's notes are
acceptable). Please include your child's name, my name, the day
(s)
that they were absent, the excuse, and your signature on the
note.
An excuse note is REQUIRED for your child to have an excused
absence. I must send excuse notes to the office, so please use
paper (not the agenda) to write your child's excuse note.
If it is a planned absence, you may ask for your child's work
ahead of time or wait until they return to school. Students will
be allowed the number of days that they were absent, plus one
extra day, to complete the work and return it to me.
