MRS. REESE’S ABSENCE

I will be out-of-town November 30-December 3.  Mrs. Ginny, Ginny Edens will be substituting for me.  During that week, if you have any questions, dismissal changes, etc. please direct them to the office.  Mrs. Ginny won’t have access to email or voice mail.  I am sure things will go well.

NO MONDAY MEMO NEXT WEEK

Please do not send any Ornament Day money Monday through Thursday of next week, November 30-December 4.  The bookkeeper cannot accept it if I am not here.

ORNAMENT DAY       December 4             8:00-10:00

If you can stop by to lend a hand, we’d love to have you.  I will be flying in from Europe on Thursday night so will be a little jet-lagged.  Students will need to wear a red or green dress code shirt that day and a Santa hat if you have one.  If you have an extra hat, send it in to share with someone who forgets.  Thanks to the moms who volunteered to lead ornaments and bring snacks.  The class will watch a Christmas movie after Ornament Day.  I have already ordered the ornaments and need to pay for them ASAP.  Cost= $4.00 per student- Please make checks to “MJE”.

CLASS CHRISTMAS PROJECT

Instead of classroom gifts, I would like students to make donations to a family in need.  We hope to buy gifts and groceries for a girl, a boy, a mom, and a dad.  My husband is in the food business and is helping with that end =o). You may send in a cash donation for the “Christmas Family”.  I have a clear, glass Christmas Tree jar students can put their donations in each morning.  This is not a school-sanctioned event, so please don’t send in checks.    We will practice counting money and planning what to buy.  Thank you for your support.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK ORDERS

Yes, our library added seven books from the November book order!  Our next Scholastic Book order will be due December 4.  Those books will be back before the Christmas Break.

WE REALLY NEED-------GLUE STICKS!!!  That’s right-we are using an average of one per students every two weeks.  Our tub is almost empty.  Please send some if you can.
