I have taught in Wilson County Schools for the past 34 years. This is my
tenth year at Mt. Juliet Elementary School. I first taught at this school
from 1975-1978 and then returned to this school seven years ago.
I have taught all elementary grades except for first and third grades. I
also taught ESL for one year at both the high school level and the
elementary level. I enjoy teaching kindergarten the best!
On a personal note, I am a widow with two children. My son, Blake, lives in
Oklahoma and my daughter, Lenti, resides in Austin, TX. Both my children
went through Wilson County Schools and both graduated from Lebanon High
School. My son received his undergraduate degree from MTSU and my daughter
graduated from Texas A & M May 2004 with her BS and she received her masters
from TCU in December 2006.
I have several hobbies one of which is traveling. I also enjoy gardening and
reading.
When I am not working I try to spend as much time as possible with my friend
Ron. We seem to enjoy the same things and have a good time together.
The mission for the class is to help every child reach his or her academic
potential and to help each child develop good study habits that will help
them throughout their school years.
