I'm Tammy Shipley and I'm looking very forward to working with your child
during my time in Ms. Boyd's classroom.
I grew up in Hermitage and graduated from DuPont High School. I received my
Bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Tennessee,
Knoxville. Upon graduation I moved to Marietta, Georgia and taught
Kindergarten in the Cobb County school system for 7 years. While I was
there I went to Kennesaw University where I received my Master's degree in
early childhood education. I returned to the area in 1996 and taught 1st
and 2nd grade for 5 years at Andrew Jackson Elementary in Metro-Davidson
County.
My husband, Rich, and I have two children. Carson is in the second grade
and Hannah has started Kindergarten this year. I feel very blessed to have
had the chance to be home with them the past 7 years, but am very excited
about the opportunity to be back in the classroom!
Some of my hobbies include reading, cooking and spending time with my family.
To see that each and every child reaches his/her maximum potential while
learning in a caring, fun environment.
