My name is Michael Coley, and this is my third year teaching agriculture. I
grew up on a beef cattle farm outside of Gallatin, TN. My family has raised
and shown Hereford cattle since 1938. During school I was highly involved in
the 4-H Club and the National FFA Organization, as well as numerous other
activities. I was able to participate in many different FFA events,
contests, and served as a Chapter, Regional, and State FFA Officer.
I graduated from Gallatin High School in 2003 and from Middle Tennessee
State University in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Animal
Science.
I teach a variety of courses this year including Agriscience, Principles of
Agriculture, Agricultural Business & Finance, Horse Science, and Small Animal
Care.
Welcome to our agriculture class. Throughout the year, there will be many
opportunities for you to become active both in and out of class. I highly
recommend you take full advantage of these opportunities to make the most of
your time.
This will not be an “Easy A” class, but will be whatever you make it.
