Sixth grade computer instruction is focused on learning the keyboard. Many
of the students have never had any computer or keyboarding training and the
first half of the term will be focused exclusively on keyboarding exercises.
During the second half of the nine weeks the class will be introduced to
PowerPoint and Paint. They will be given several projects to create in both
PowerPoint and Paint and then will learn to combine the two. Rubrics will be
given to all students that will cover the requirements of each project and
how they will be graded. Because all work is done in class, there will never
be any homework.
