About The Teacher
I grew up most of my years in the Cincinnati area. I went to Milford Middle School and Milford High School. After graduating from high shcool I went to the University of Cincinnati to obtain my teaching degree. After receiving my Bachelor's Degree I married my husband and moved to West Virginia. I substitute taught for a while. We then had our first child and I decided to stay home. While staying home for 4 years I went back to college at West Virginia University to obtain a masters degree in Educational Leadership. In 2000 I graduated. In 2001 my huband's job then moved us to Nashville where I went back to work with Wilson County Schools. I taught 4 years at WWMS teaching 8th grade pre-algebra and algebra. I then had my second child and took a year off. When returning I moved to MJE. I had a great year there but really missed working and teaching at the middle school level. I realized how much I missed working with teenagers and now for the last two years I have been back at the middle school. My husband works at DuPont in Old Hickory. My daughters are currently 12 and 5. I also teach 6th grade Sunday School at Victory Baptist Church.

My mission is to develop students who are responsible, accountable, and independant thinkers. I also hope to install a love of learning within them.
