Greetings to all!
Well, last week I updated this site early, but this week I am updating it a
trifle late! I guess I procrastinated because I knew that this will be the
very last update of the year...alas!
My missive will be relatively short and sweet.
Our final book report projects are due tomorrow, May 20. I am really
looking forward to seeing the books students chose and the bookmarks they
made.
Our furry friend Matthew would like to thank all of the children for
watching over him and spending time with him during the year. Actually, he
will be going home with one of our students permanently! We will hold a
drawing later this week.
Our literature circles are coming to a close. Students will finish books
and create presentations, which they will give to the class.
In math, we will finish our explorations by measuring time. Math homework
will be the only homework this week, and there will not be any on Tuesday
due to graduation.
We have completed all of our scientific investigations and will have our
final test on Tuesday.
We will continue to honor Mary this week by saying the Rosary. We have also
been working on our Rosary booklets, which will go home on Thursday so that
students can continue to make the Rosary a regular part of their prayer life.
On a closing note:
It is really difficult to say good-bye. My fingers seem reluctant to even
type the word! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate having had the
chance to work with your children and you. For once, I am at a loss for
words. For those of you that have spoken with me at any length, you may
realize how unlikely and amazing that is!
Thank you. Thank you so very much.
Best wishes for many blessings!
--Mrs. F-J.
