Hello Parents and Students.
This week in reading we are learning about the childhood of Dr. Martin Luther King. We are studying the biography genre. Students in leveled reading groups are reading about other African Americans.
We also began focus centers. Students will use these centers to work cooperatively with other students on reading skills. Today was their first run through. Some students will work in centers, some will work with me, while others will read in groups.
In math we are beginning work with fractions. Students are learning to label the fraction as numerator over denominator. All the while, we are reviewing past learned objectives. Check out my website links for other online ways for students to practice math.
