Recently I've read the 39 Clues book and joined the website. My favorite
authors include C. S. Lewis, Raold Dahl, and many others. Who are YOUR
favorite authors?
"How many a man has dated a new era in his life from the reading of a book."
Henry David Thoreau (1817 - 1862), Walden: Reading, 1854
I approach education as a lifelong learner. Learning is a continuous, active
process. Literacy is our key to understanding our world and others. My goal
for my students is that all of us will discover that book or author that we
just can't put down. Reading is the process by which we gain new knowledge
and realize our own possibilities in life. Writing is the process by which we
communicate and share our knowledge, opinions, and ideas with others. My wish
for all my students is that the time spent together is one in which we create
a caring community of learners where we are able to share our favorite books,
our best stories, and learn in a constructive and supportive environment.
