About The Teacher
Welcome to my web-site! It's a brand new year and I am looking forward to working with the students, their parents, and the new teachers in our system. Some of the activites I sponsor are Safety Patrol, We the People, Project Citizen, Jr. Beta, and Clover Bowl. The Jr. Beta co-sponsor this year is Mrs. Blevins. My classes, as part of their civic responsibility, participate in recycling, and collecting can tabs, box tops, Sunny D labels, Capri Sun pouches, and Campbell's soup labels. I grew up in a military family. My father served 23 years in the Army, one of my brothers served in the Army, another brother served in the Marine Corp, and all but one uncle served in the military. Both my sons served in the military, one in the Marine Corp and one in the Air Force. I have a special place in my heart for those who serve and their families. Each year my class adopts a deployed unit and collects items for HUGE Christmas stockings and Easter baskets. I encourage student responsibility and parent participation.
