Announcements

**Thank you to the parents and grandparents that participated on Parent
Involvement Day. We greatly appreciated and enjoyed the time you spent in
our classroom.

**Thanks also to all of the students and parents that participated in
the St. Jude's Math-a-thon. We had 10 students to turn in donations that
totaled almost $400.00. The coordinator I spoke to was very excited and said
that our donation was greatly appreciated and would be put to good use. She
will send me an email soon confirming that she received our donation and
prompting me to order the prizes that each student earned. Thanks again!!

-Trip to the Movies-December 14th-Please return permission slips and
money as soon as possible. The cost is $5 which covers the cost of the
movie, a small popcorn, and a coke. We will be watching "A Christmas
Carol" (PG). Parents are unable to attend due to limited seating.

     -Last Day of Fall Term-December 18th from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Christmas party on this morning, we would greatly appreciate it. There
will also be a gift exchange. Girls should bring a girl gift and boys
should bring a boy gift to exchange within the price range of $5-$7.

We will return to school on Monday, January 4th. Have safe and happy
       holidays!!!

*** Please remember to register at Box Tops for Education and send in your
child's box tops. This is a free and easy way to help our school make money
for needed supplies, improvements, and luxuries. Plus, the classroom with
the most Box Tops wins a pizza party!!!

**Remind your child to read and take AR tests! Prizes are awarded as they
reach different point levels, names display their accomplishments in the
lunch room, and a top reader out of the fifth grade will be selected at the
end of the year based on AR points.

*Remember to check your child's planner and encourage them to bring their
books, assignments, and other study materials home. Working together, we
can help them be more successful at school.
