About the Teacher

Elizabeth Ash-Leigh Langston

I am very happy to be your child's teacher. I feel truly blessed to be a part of your child's Kindergarten year. I feel it is so important to have a good start in school.
I have been teaching for 15 years. I taught first grade for 8 years in Tipton County and 1 of Kindergarten in the same county. I have taught preschool since my son was born 7 years ago. Last year I left preschool to become the Richland reading interventionist. I now have my dream job, teaching Kindergarten at my child's school. I enjoy teaching in work stations and showing the children how become independent and creative thinkers. I try to be very patient and understanding each and every day. I believe that the children are still little and that Kindergarten should be wonderful, magical and memorable experience. I hope to inspire life long learning in my students along with love and kindness for those around them. I love teaching and being at the beginning of the children's school career.
My husband Chris and I have two boys, Michael 7 and David 5, one dog(Harry Bolt), Two cats(Sunshine Caroline, and Raphael), and a Guinea Pig(Mistletoe). My youngest son, David, has Down Syndrome and has taught me a great deal.

Thank you so much for sharing your children with me. I'm looking for to the rest of this year to get to know them better, although I don't think I could love them anymore than I already do.
